Dear Friends, our project "Socialization of teenage orphans" has successfully started!
Yesterday we made a study trip to the Boryslav secondary residential school for children with chronic diseases of the digestive system. Teenagers were surprisingly open and positive there. Next visit we will make on November 09, 2015 and will conduct trainings for them on financial literacy. In the frame of the project several more trainings on legal literacy, career guidance and meeting with a child psychologist are planned.
Therefore, we continue raising funds for the project and ask you to support it and give more teenage orphans a chance for a happy future!
And here is a little photo-report:
Socialization of teenage orphansWe are starting the realization of our new project: "Socialization of teenage orphans." We all know that the education system in Ukraine is imperfect, especially the system of education in residential orphan schools. Due to the lack of training provision, orphans in orphanages are not ready for real life when they leave to enter society. Consequently, students of these institutions often find themselves in difficult circumstances. Every 2nd teen orphan that leaves a boarding institution commits a crime. Every 5th becomes homeless, and tragically every 7th commits suicide. Only 1% of these children get higher education and lead a successful life.
The aim of our project is to increase the level of socialization of teenage orphans. We will conduct such training for children in 8 orphan schools in the Lviv region. It will help to increase orphaned children’s awareness of their rights and benefits, their level of financial literacy, and their awareness of the opportunities for further education and getting a job. In this way, we will help them overcome the fears associated with leaving the orphanage and give them self-confidence.
Become our partner in a good cause! The closer we help teenagers with a difficult fate, the more confident will the future of our society and the future of our children. Your support is an essential prerequisite for the success of this project.
To implement it we need to collect 2 160 USD.
Do not be indifferent! Your donation and contributions, no matter how small, are extremely important and will change the lives and the fate of orphans! The contribution can be paid at any bank to the following account:
